Ogerakhi Philip from Nigeria, Edo State, Benin City, lives in Rome, Italy. I started singing at the early age of 14 with friends who shared the same passion for music. We used to sing on the street for our enjoyment. Our goal was to uplift the spirits of passersby. We wanted to entertain people of all ages. Most of the time, our performances would draw a small crowd. People would generously give us different gifts. These ranged from money to food and even encouragement through kind words. These gifts really encouraged me to go further, fueling my determination to pursue music more seriously. One day, I was exploring social media. I met a friend on Facebook named Price Jerry. He is a talented singer as well. We just a little conversation and quickly bonded over our shared love for music. Excited about our potential collaboration, we decided to hit the studio together, where we poured our hearts into our craft. The result was a wonderful track titled "Iyare." It resonated with many. It helped create our presence in the music scene. That is how I went on, steadily gaining confidence and recognition. During that time, I had the opportunity to feature some immensely talented artists. I expanded my network. I learned from their experiences.
